Hello! I’m Pratima, the founder of Tiaki and mother of two. Founded in Australia, the journey of Tiaki began with a simple yet profound realisation: the first layer of clothing, which stays closest to your child’s skin, should be the safest, healthiest and most natural. ‘Tiaki,’ which in the Māori language means to care, conserve and protect, perfectly captures our commitment to these principles, woven into every thread of our fabric.
When I founded Tiaki, my vision was clear: to create a brand that stands not just for clothing, but for a movement towards a better, healthier and more sustainable future. Our children wear innerwear almost 24/7, yet often, the focus remains on what’s worn on the outside. At Tiaki, we shift that focus back to what equally matters—comfort, safety and the health benefits that come from wearing something pure and natural over the skin.
